What experience is needed for Skipperi Fleet?

Do not worry if you are new to boating.

We welcome new boaters with open arms. Our subscription includes a practical training that is mandatory for new boaters with less than 3 years of experience. During this hour we go through the boat in general and work on taking the boat in and out of the harbor.

About 20% of the users are novice boaters and we want to provide the safest and easiest way to start boating! In the Fleet service previous skippering experience is not required.

Under your Fleet -membership pages you can see is if it's mandatory for you to participate on the practical training and also reserve it if needed.

In Norway it is important to remember that you need the Norwegian boating license if you are born after 01.01.1980 in order to use our boats.

If you register as a user at Skipperi, we will accept your membership even if you do not have the boating license. your membership will then start, but you will not have access to book any boats before the boating license is added.
