You are required to always report the liters you fueled through the app under the boat reservation. You can have either a positive or negative balance, depending on how you fuel compared to your consumption during the trips. Spent fuel is calculated based on the engine's fuel flow. The Skipperi app reports their actual fuel consumption for the trip in question, and the boater refills this much.
From the app, in the section settings - membership - fuel balance, you can see your fueling balance and information about your boat trips whether they have accumulated a plus or minus balance.
Below step by step instructions on how to fuel using to app when at the gas station:
- Take your mobile phone and open the app. Open the valid reservation and press the fuel button
- Switch off the engine, but leave the main power on
- Wait for the plotter to turn off
- Turn on the plotter by turning the ignition key halfway
- Wait until the plotter is connected to the network and receives a GPS signal. Please note that a moment may pass here, and a minute may not always be enough
- The app retrieves the latest information about the trip. This may take a while for the data to transfer from the plotter to the app
- Check that the trip information is correct and that the latest information as possible as was retrieved
- Refuel with the amount of fuel specified by the application
- Finally, be sure to enter the amount you fueled to the application
